[NEWS] BIGBANG’s Album Sold 93,000 Copies in Japan on Its First Day of Release, Taking 1st Place on Oricon
A leading K-Pop boy group BIGBANG (G-DRAGON, T.O.P, TAEYANG, DAESUNG, SEUNGRI) has demonstrated their popularity in Japan once again.
BIGBANG released a collection album (THE BEST OF BIGBANG 2006-2014) on Nov. 26th, and was ranked first on the daily album chart of Oricon, Japan’s oldest and most prestigious music chart.
The latest album contains BIGBANG’s hit songs since their debut, including ‘BLUE,’ ‘FANTASTIC BABY,’ ‘HARU HARU,’ BAD BOY’ and ‘MONSTER.’ The album was sold 93,226 copies on its day of release alone, taking the first place on Oricon’s daily album chart.
This shows that BIGBANG’s popularity is still very powerful in Japan.
Starting from Nov. 15th in Nagoya, BIGBANG is hosting 15 concerts in five cities in Japan, including Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo and Tokyo, until mid-January in 2015.
