[COVER STORY] G-DRAGON ON L'UOMO VOGUE, November 2013
Kwon Ji-Yong a.k.a. G-Dragon – a twenty-five-year-old man from Seoul with an androgynous look and bleached hair – is the biggest Asian pop star of the moment. Discovered by a talent scout when he was 5 years old, he officially made his debut in 2006 as a member of Big Bang, the boy band that is the star of K-Pop, the South Korean music scene that has won over the world with a blend of Euro dance music, urban rhythms, and bubblegum pop.
Besides his success with Big Bang, he also had two hit solo albums: Heartbreaker in 2009 and the recent Coup d’état, besides several other additional projects. His fame is not only due to music, but also to his style and mysterious and almost other-worldly charisma that have made him the idol of thousands of teens and the muse of designers and art directors.
