[NEWS] Big Bang whips over 10,000 Chinese fans into a frenzy
Boy group Big Bang recently held their first Chinese concert successfully.
On July 22, Big Bang’s agency, YG Entertainment, said that the group held the ‘Alive Galaxy Tour 2012′ concert at Mercedes-Benz Arena in China on July 21 at 7:30 in the evening (local time) and made over 10,000 fans go wild.
Big Bang visited China for the first time in six years of their debut. They wore luxurious opening costumes and performed “Still Alive,” “Tonight,” and “Hands Up.”
The group sang their hit songs, including, “Heaven” and “Monster” and each member also gave individual performances, which made the concert more enjoyable. Seungri sang Teresa Teng’s “Tian Mi Mi,” which is a beloved song in Chinese-speaking countries, and received big cheers from the audience.
According to the agency, Big Bang members tried to communicate with the Chinese fans while performing twenty-three songs at the concert.
A spokesperson for the agency says, “Big Bang gave three encores after the concert. But the Chinese fans didn’t leave the arena for a long time and cried out for the group and more encore.”
“Tickets for the concert sold out and fans who couldn’t get tickets gathered outside of the arena to join the concert.”
Big Bang will invite over 30,000 people in total by holding concerts on July 21 in Shanghai, on July 28 in Guangzhou, and on August 4 in Beijing.
