[NEWS] YG Family reveals Yang Hyun Suk is not as gentle as he seems on ‘K-Pop Star’

When it comes to Yang Hyun Suk‘s gentle, fatherly image on ‘K-Pop Star’, it seems that there is more to it than meets the eye.

On the March 27th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, the members of YG Entertainment gathered for a YG Family special episode. In the episode, MC Lee Seung Gi took the opportunity to ask YG Family about Yang Hyun Suk’s real self.

Yang Hyun Suk, who is currently serving as a judge on ‘K-pop Star‘, was not present during the recording, and so the YG Family members began to reveal various secrets regarding their mentor. In regards to Yang Hyun Suk’s kind and gentle image on ‘K-pop Star’, Big Bang member Daesung commented, “I think our boss is infatuated with his angel-like image on ‘K-pop Star’.”

He continued, “On the show, he is very kind and encouraging to the contestants but I have never seen that side of him in real life. I only see that on television.”

Fellow Big Bang member G-Dragon added, “I have never directly received a compliment or positive feedback from him. However, he says good things about us to other people and we hear those through them.”

[NEWS] "BIGBANG'S BAD BOY IS THE BEST" : JYP TO YG

JYP Entertainment's president Park Jinyoung has praised Yang Hyunsuk of YG Entertainment for Big Bang's "Bad Boy"

He showed interest in idol group YG Entertainment's Big Bang's "Bad Boy" while talking in SBS' "Kpop Star."

Yang Hyunsuk told Star News that "Park Jinyoung asked me who made "Bad Boy" because he thinks its the best song from the past year. I was happy to hear this from such an influential producer."

He went on to say "I also personally like "Bad Boy" out of all the Big Bang songs, and I think Park Jinyoung likes this song because he has an interest in Hip Hop and R&B."

Park Jinyoung's praise to Big Bang was very heart-warming, considering Big Bang is an idol group from a rival company.

"Bad Boy" is from Big Ban's 5th mini album that was released in February. It is a hip hop song with a nice melody and a rhythmical beat. Big Bang's G-Dragon produced this song, Choice37 helped with writing the melody, and TOP helped with the rap.

Big Bang is approaching their one month mark since the release of their new album, and is maintaining the top positions in music charts.

[NEWS] Big Bang and 2NE1 Release New Albums on the Same Day in Japan

Big Bang and 2NE1 joined forces to bring on the hallyu takeover in Japan by releasing albums on the same day.

On March 28, Big Bang released Alive, while 2NE1 released its new album Collection.

Big Bang’s new album contains a total of 10 tracks, eight of which are from the group’s fifth mini album Alive released in Korea, and two which are new, Ego and Feeling.

Ego and Feeling have been much anticipated by the group’s fans as they will be released for the first time in Japan. Feeling, which was written by the German artist Boys Noize, G-Dragon and T.O.P., has already gathered attention for being the opening theme song for the animation Transformer Prime.

Ego also shows off the characteristic Big Bang groove and fun lyrics.

2NE1’s album will contain 12 tracks, including the group’s hits in Korea and the bonus tracks Like a Virgin, She’s So (Outta Control) and Scream.

Like a Virgin will showcase 2NE1’s take on Madonna’s mega hit of the same title, and She’s So (Outta Control) will be a remixed version of the single that was included in m-flo’s sixth studio album.

2NE1 showed it wielded great power in the market by tying up Like a Virgin, Scream and Love is Ouch even before their official release with green tea, travel agent and fashion magazine commercials.

M-flo member Verbal participated in both Big Bang and 2NE1’s albums. Verbal wrote the Japanese lyrics for Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby and 2NE1’s Scream.

The two groups will also be appearing together on the stage of the biggest music festival in Japan, the Springgroove, to be held from March 31 to April 1 in Kobe and Chiba. They will be performing shoulder to shoulder with global artists such as LMFAO and David Guetta.

Big Bang recently announced the schedule for its 2012 Big Bang Alive Tour in Japan, which will pass through five areas in Japan—Nagoya, Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama and Fukuoka—and even before the tickets were officially made available, many of the concerts sold out through pre-sales alone.
