[NEWS] BIGBANG Wins 3 Awards at Korean Music Awards


BIGBANG won three awards.

The 13th Korean Music Awards took place at the Guro Arts Valley Theatre on February 29. The event was broadcasted live on the website of EBS’s Space Sympathy.

BIGBANG won the Song of the Year Award with their hit song “BAE BAE”. It was their third award at the event following the Best Pop Award and the Group Musician of the Year Netizen Vote. BIGBANG was not able to make it to the ceremony. Instead Director Park Heon-pyo of YG Entertainment received the awards for them, and for the acceptance speech, he said, “Ten years have passed since BIGBANG’s debut. BIGBANG would like to thank the fans for their love, Mr. YANG HUN SUK and Mr. YANG MIN SUK for their support and the staff for their hard work.”

YG’s BIGBANG who is also called “God-BANG” boasted their unrivalled potential once again by sweeping as many as 22 awards in six major music awards in Korea for the year 2015. After receiving prizes in MMA, MAMA (Mnet Asia Music Awards), Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and Gaon Chart Music Awards, which give prizes to popular songs, BIGBANG also received awards in a music festival where music experts select winners. That is an unprecedented record that has never been written by any other Korean musicians.

BIGBANG won the Best Pop Song Award with their hit song, “LOSER”.

BIGBANG won the Best Pop Song Award at the 13th Korean Music Awards, which was held at the Guro Arts Valley Theatre, Seoul from 7 PM on February 29.
