Korea’s leading K-pop group BIGBANG (G-DRAGON, T.O.P, TAEYANG, DAESUNG, SEUNGRI) ranks at second place on the online vote for the 2016 TIME 100, a list of the 100 most influential people in 2016.
The online vote for the 2016 TIME 100 began on March 23, and April 2 marks its 11th day. Currently, BIGBANG is at the second place winning 2.4 % of all the votes following Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders with 3.6% of votes. Until a week after voting began, BIGBANG was at 3rd place. But as time went by, BIGBANG received more votes and is currently at the 2nd place showing that they are indeed the icon of K-pop.
