BIGBANG member G-DRAGON (GD) recorded No.1 on “Golden Twit” list, which is given to a Twitter user whose mentions on Twitter have been retwitted by the biggest number of users during this year.
G-DRAGON posted a message “PRAYFORSOUTHKOREA”, expressing his wish for return of the victims of Sewol ferry accident, on his Twitter account (https://twitter.com/ibgdrgn) on April 17 this year. The message is recording total 52,882 retwits so far (until December 16, 2014), and it was registered as “favorite twit” for 28,404 times.
Plus, according to Twitter Korea blog (https://blog.twitter.com/ko/2014/yearontwitter-in-korea), the mention was re-twitted by fans around the globe, not only in Asian countries such as Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia where K-Pop is enjoying a big popularity, but also in other countries like the U.K, Russia, the United States, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Australia.
The number of G-DRAGON’s Twitter followers is recording 3,612,986 as of now (December 16), and G-DRAGON’s Twitter account has become No.1 Korean Twitter account that added the biggest number of followers this year. Notably, 2NE1’s DARA who released their new album “COME BACK HOME” is in the second place.
Meanwhile, G-DRAGON is creating sensation with the music video of world-famous dubstep DJ Skrillex’s song “Dirty Vibe” in which he appear with 2NE1’s CL. The music video was unveiled on the 16 in the early morning. The video impresses viewers with shocking visual and powerful rapping. “Dirty Vibe” is a song included in Skrillex’s album “RECESS” released in March this year, for which G-DRAGON and CL took part in for featuring in March this year.
