[NEWS] BIGBANG Handwrites Thank You Messages for 8th Anniversary


BIGBANG celebrated its 8th anniversary with hand written messages.

On August 19, BIGBANG celebrated the 8th anniversary and thanked the fans by posting hand written messages on YG’s official website.

G-Dragon wrote, “It’s the 8th anniversary… We still have a far way to go. Thank you always,” and Taeyang wrote, “Pal (8th) anniversary… I’m still pal pal…! (Korean term meaning lively).”

Congratulations to G-Dragon! Through on-line votes by fans, he won the 'World's Best Entertainer' award and his album 'Coup D'Etat' won the 'World's Best Album' award for the 'World Music Awards' just in time for his birthday!

In addition, just in time for BIGBANG's 8th anniversary, the group's fan base, VIP, won the 'Fan Army Face-Off' that was happening on Billboard. The ever loyal and diligent VIPs beat Thirty Seconds to Mars' Echelon in the final round.

The ultimate winner has finally been declared.

With 91% percent of the vote in the final face-off, BIGBANG's VIPs beat Thirty Seconds to Mars' Echelon to be declared the winner of Billboard's Fan Army Face-Off. Over 20 million votes were cast since the contest began. You can take a look at the full bracket here.

On their road to the championship, the VIPs beat Rihanna's Rihanna Navy, Selena Gomez's Selenators, Girls' Generation's Sones, and Skillet's Panheads. Congrats to the VIPs!

[NEWS] G-DRAGON DONATES 81.80M WON TO ESTABLISHMENT OF LOU GEHRIG’S NURSING HOME ON HIS BIRTHDAY


BIGBANG’s leader G-DRAGON once again made a meaningful donation in celebration of his birthday.

On August 18, G-DRAGON turned 26.

To celebrate his birthday, he donated 81.80 million won (his birthdate 8.18) to Seungil Hope Foundation to help build a nursing home for patients suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease.
