[NEWS] ALL THAT RAGE ABOUT BIGBANG, NOT A SURPRISE

TAEYANG and G-DRAGON from BIGBANG go against each other by being in charge of the producing of Teams A and B on ‘WHO IS NEXT: WIN’, YG Entertainment’s real survival program. The tension heightened to the max, providing a source of entertainment to the viewers.

G-DRAGON and TAEYANG, who used to be YG’s young trainees in the past, are now put into a battle against each other by being in charge of the producing of Teams A and B on ‘WIN’. G-DRAGON hinted a fierce battle commenting, “I never beat TAEYANG in any competitions back then.” The two were fully engaged with their team members in an attempt to win the battle. G-DRAGON and TAEYANG both aroused much attention for their ability to point out the teams’ weaknesses as more experienced artists.

In the rehearsal of ‘Only Look At Me’, Kang Seung Yoon suggested that his solo singing part should be sang in a higher key, while Lee Seung Hoon asked for a different method to approach lower keys. Song Min Ho, also provided ideas and showed his ability to point out any disharmonized sounds of the members.

G-DRAGON was equally talented. Looking at the rehearsal, he commented, “It’s not all about just making loud sounds. You have to be able to control the strength of your voice throughout the song. If you do exactly what you did yesterday, in terms of gestures and expression, you will hit the highest mark.” He added, “Run up to this line in front of the spotlight and then run back,” taking care of every detail on stage. He was not hesitant to ask the members what they thought was lacking or weak, with an intention to help them as much as he can.

Bobby from Team B was thoroughly impressed by his mentor, commenting, “He gives advice on stuff that I have never even imagined was wrong before. I think he is amazing.”
The two artists repeatedly emphasized that being able to enjoy the stage is the most important aspect. They told the teams, “Just do what you did for the rehearsals.”

TAEYANG told them, “You should not lose your charisma but try to enjoy the stage, like you are fooling around with your members. You need to look relaxed. If you are nervous, then your performance cannot be better than your rehearsal.”

TAEYANG and G-DRAGON devoted their energy into helping the teams, not only because it was a matter of pride but also because they experienced the exact thing when they were trainees. Knowing that the result will be determined after 3 battles, TAEYANG said, “Don’t think about winning or losing. Having a dream is all about going after it your whole life. That is the way to appreciate it.”

G-DRAGON encouraged the nervous members by telling them; “You looked better when you were rehearsing. Something you don’t know will show itself on stage. You are already good, so don’t try to be good. And don’t worry about your popularity, because I, your mentor, is already very popular!”

The victory for the first round of battle of dancing and singing was seized by Team B. Yang commented, “Team A did better than expected,” while T.O.P added, “Team A didn’t have an impact, while Team B had too much of it.” SEUNGRI explained, “Team A’s overall structure was great.”
