The music video of BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY” has hit 200 million views on YouTube.
According to video-streaming website YouTube on the 27 at 7am, the music video of “FANTASTIC BABY” was recording 200,123,570 views. Even though the song was released three years ago, the number of views of its music video has continued to grow, proving BIGBANG’s unending popularity.
The music video of “FANTASTIC BABY” posted on YouTube on March 5, 2012, hit 100 million views in 2014 and surpassed the 150 million view mark last year. As BIGBANG has enjoyed world-wide popularity for a long time, their songs released some time ago continue to draw big popularity, too.
Notably, the record is drawing all the more attention, as BIGBANG is now the second Korean singer to hold the 200 million view mark for their music video, following world-famous singer PSY. As the music video of “BANG BANG BANG” also hit 100 million views on the 19 this month, BIGBANG has become the only Korean male singer who has two music videos that surpassed 100 million views on YouTube.
“FANTASTIC BABY” included in BIGBANG’s fifth mini-album “ALIVE” is one of BIGBANG’s most famous hit songs, which leaves a deep impression with its exciting beat, rhythm, and dynamic choreography.
Before the 200 million view mark of the music video of “FANTASTIC BABY”, the music video of “BANG BANG BANG” hit 100 million views. That record made BIGBANG become the first Korean boy group who has two music videos that hit 100 million views.
Plus, the music video of “BANG BANG BANG” topped the list of “The most-watched K-pop music videos in the world for this year” which was released by YouTube on the 7 last month. According to statistics collected by YouTube from January 1 to December 31, 2015, the music video of BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG” released in June, 2015, recorded more than 95 million views. The videos of five BIGBANG songs including “LOSER”, “BAE BAE”, “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE”, and “SOBER” were included in top 10 of the list, to demonstrate BIGBANG’s big influence in the world’s music scene.
BIGBANG swept No.1 on music charts in and out of the country and TV music shows with the songs of their “MADE SERIES” released from May to August last year. Plus, BIGBANG proved their status as the best singer of the year 2015 by receiving the best artist and song of the year awards at 2015 Melon Music Awards, as well as the best singer and song of the year awards at 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) held in Hong Kong.
