G-DRAGON sang a cover song for YG junior.
G-DRAGON has become the third singer to sing a cover song for “SENTIMENTAL”, one of the double title tracks for a new mini-album of WINNER, which will be released on February 1.
On the 27 at 10am, YG Entertainment posted G-DRAGON’s cover video for part of “SENTIMENTAL”, under the title of “G-DRAGON- SENTIMENTAL BY WINNER COVER 07” on the company’s official blog (www.yg-life.com). According to insiders, G-DRAGON took part in the cover project for WINNER’s new album, with his special affection for WINNER.
G-DRAGON reinterpreted “SENTIMENTAL” with his flagship unique voice color, and he presents rhythmical rapping in the cover video, leaving a strong impression. Plus, G-DRAGON’s great sense of fashion stands out in the video as well, in which he performs in a snap back and outfit with unique patterns.
Before G-DRAGON, BIGBANG’s TAEYANG drew attention by creating his cover video for “BABY BABY”, the other title track for WINNER’s new album. Those cover videos are further raising fans’ anticipation for “BABY BABY” and “SENTIMENTAL” to be presented by WINNER soon.
The cover project was directly planned and led by YG’s head producer YANG HYUN SUK for WINNER’s mini-album, to create a big sensation. So far, “BABY BABY” has been covered by YG’s LEE HI and TAEYANG, as well as Zion.T and DEAN. Meanwhile, “SENTIMENTAL” has been covered by duo AKMU, Katie Kim, and then G-DRAGON, and fans are now paying keen attention to who the next artist to cover the song will be.
WINNER is coming back with a mini-album to be released on February 1. Plus, WINNER will present music videos of “BABY BABY” and “SENTIMENTAL”, the double title tracks of the album, as well as of NAM TAEHYUN’s solo track “I’M YOUNG”.
