BIGBANG is showing an explosive success in China as well.
BIGBANG held concerts in China for 2 days on June 5 and 6, meeting with the local fans. BIGBANG occupied the top three slots of QQ Music, beating all other local and foreign artists immediately after their new song release. QQ Music is China’s largest music site with 800 million users.
The top three songs by BIGBANG are “BANG BANG BANG,” “BAE BAE” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY.” Their popularity is indeed borderless.
“WE LIKE 2 PARTY” and “BANG BANG BANG” are also ranked #1 and #2 on QQ Music K-Pop chart, followed by the same performance of “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” last month.
Their music videos are equally doing well. The M/V of “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” topped QQ Music’s Overall M/V Chart while “BANG BANG BANG” #2 and “LOSER” #3, and “BAE BAE” at #5.
Apart from QQ Music, “BANG BANG BANG” topped Youku Korea-Japan music chart while also topping the most popular artist chart. Their popularity in China is certainly remarkable.
The viewer number is increasing at an incredible rate as well. “BANG BANG BANG” hit 9.96 million views as of 2pm on June 6, soon to hit 10 million. “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” hit 3.24 million views. “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” released in May are still drawing in viewers, with 30.19 views and 22.7 views respectively.
America’s famous music medium Stereogum picked “BANG BANG BANG” as the top for 5 Best M/V’s of the week.
BIGBANG will be appearing on SBS’s “Running Man” on June 7 to showcase a thrilling car race.
