While BIGBANG (G-DRAON, T.O.P, TAEYANG, DAESUNG, and SEUNGRI)’s TAEYANG is sweeping the No.1 places on music charts upon releasing his new solo full-length album in four years, his colleagues at YG Entertainment (“YG”) including world-famous star PSY and TAEYANG’s old friend G-DRAGON are actively supporting the success of the new album, drawing a big attention.
At 0 o’clock on the 3 this month, TAEYANG disclosed the music of his second full-length album “RISE” on music-streaming websites of Korea. Within three hours of the disclosure, from 3am until the morning on the same day, title track “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” swept the No.1 places on the real-time charts of ten major music-streaming websites of Korea: Melon, Mnet, Olleh Music, Genie, Bugs, Soribada, Monkey 3, NAVER Music, Daum Music, and Cyworld Music.
Top singer G-DRAGON, one of the members of BIGBANG and TAEYANG’s old friend from elementary school days, supported TAEYANG by posting a link to the music video of “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” on his Twitter, by the time when TAEYANG’s new solo song was being released.
World-famous singer PSY, who will come back soon with his new song “HANGOVER” to be disclosed before the release of the new album, also wrote on his Twitter “really cool”, referring to TAEYANG’s birth-name, in the early morning on the day. Of course PSY did post a link to the music video of “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” as well. As such, PSY promoted TAEYANG’s new album worldwide.
Such support from G-DRAOGN and PSY well demonstrates the deep friendship among YG singers.
“EYES, NOSE, LIPS” is a song of a slow tempo, whose melody was written jointly by YG’s main producer TEDDY and DEE.P. Its genre is R&B ballad.
