G-DRAGON, who made a comeback as a solo topped M Countdown 3 weeks in a row, first with ‘Black’ and now with ‘Crooked.’
Cable channel Mnet’s M Countdown aired on Sept 26 showed G-DRAGON beating Soyu & Mad Clown’s ‘Stupid in Love’ with ‘Crooked’ to stand at #1.
G-DRAGON thanked the fans and the staff by saying, “I am absolutely delighted and am so grateful. I thank everyone who listens to my music. I am going to work harder to show you better work.”
With one of the latest title songs ‘Black,’ G-DRAGON topped M Countdown for 2 weeks in a row. He also ranked #1 on SBS’s Inkiagyo with ‘Black’ and ‘Crooked’.
‘Crooked’ grabs the attention of the listener from the very beginning with its unique introduction melody. The beat quickly moves on to a fun and rhythmic one, alongside G-DRAGON’s perfect rapping. It is indeed a classy song. This is a fruit borne by G-DRAGON and Teddy, the main producer of YG Entertainment. The two co-wrote and composed.
Just like the title suggests, ‘Crooked’ is about a man in misery derailing when he finds out that his girlfriend’s love is no longer directed toward him.
On the day G-DRAGON made an appearance on M Countdown, other artists including Teen Top, Crayon Pop, Ladies’ Code, Hong Dae-gwang, Yellow, 5Dolls, Bangtan Boys, Nu’est, Nabi, Spica and AA were also present for dynamic performances.
