Completely expected, but still just as surprising, G-Dragon’s limited edition LP records of his second album, Coup d’Etat has been completely sold out.
On September 30, preorders began for the limited 8,888 copies of the special album, and within a day, all copies were claimed for, proving his sales power as a male soloist.
G-Dragon has also been promoting with four title songs, Black, Niliria Crooked, and Who You, which have ranked number one on multiple music programs.
With great success in online and offline markets, G-Dragon continued the trend, selling out his special edition LP albums with no problem. Especially with this LP records, fans were itching to get their hands on it so they could listen to G-Dragon’s hottest tracks in an analogue style.
As 8 is his lucky number, G-Dragon only produced 8,888 copies of the vinyl LPs, even personally handwriting the numbers 1 through 8,888, making fans desire the albums even more.
The album will include a lyric book, a badge, a mask, and other diverse items that fit with the Coup d’Etat album. It will also have pictures from the album as well as from G-Dragon’s Space 8 exhibition.
Meanwhile, the official release date for G-Dragon’s LP album is October 18.
