[NEWS] G-DRAGON to Hold the Biggest World Tour for a Male Solo Artist

G-DRAGON will be holding a solo tour under the title of “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E”.

On April 25, YG Entertainment announced that G-DRAGON will be kicking off his solo world tour with a concert titled “G-DRAGON 2017 CONCERT: ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” at the Sangam World Cup Stadium on June 20. For his world tour, G-DRAGON will be holding 23 concerts in a total of 19 cities around the world: eight North American cities (Seattle, San Hose, LA, Houston, Chicago, Miami, New York, and Toronto), three Asian cities (Macao, Singapore, and Bangkok), four Oceanian cities (Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Oakland), and three Japanese cities (Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo). He may hold more concerts in other cities.

G-DRAGON held his first solo tour “Shine a light” in 2009 and his second tour “One of a Kind in 2013. This will be his third solo tour, and it will be a chance to see his popularity as a global artist and not just a popular singer within Asia.

His third world tour will be above arena-level and will consist of concerts held in stadiums and domes. Expectations are running high as the concerts will be the largest-scale for a contemporary male singer.

The “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” concerts will not just be large-scale but also unique in concept. The title “M.O.T.T.E” is an abbreviation of “MOMENT OF TRUTH THE END”. The concerts will be about G-DRAGON as an artist and as a 30-year old guy about to start the third stage of his life. Fans are curious about how G-DRAGON will portray his glamorous and successful life and the loneliness and pain it on stage.

On top of working on his world tour “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E”, G-DRAGON is making preparations to release a solo album.
