[NEWS] BIGBANG Tops Oricon Weekly Chart
BIGBANG’s Japan Dome Tour DVD was ranked first on Oricon’s weekly chart.
The group held Japan Dome Tour for three consecutive years as a foreign artist. Its tour ended with the Tokyo Dome concert on February 24 and mobilized a total of 911,000 audiences, which was the largest scale among its Japan Dome Tour. Also, the group released LIVE DVD&BLUE-RAY of BIGBANG WORLD TOUR 2015~2016 [MADE] IN JAPAN. The DVD ranked first on Oricon’s daily DVD chart on the day of its release and topped Oricon’s weekly DVD chart seven days later.
It is the group’s third time to take the first place on the chart followed by BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2013~2014 DVD released in May 2014 andBIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2014~2015 “X”released in May 2015.
The DVD includes the original performance videos of 22 songs and 2 double encore songs from the Tokyo Dome performance on November 14, 2015 and the theater limited premium live video, which is from set list decided by fans’ votes and screened in cinemas throughout Japan, called BIGBANG; BEST LIVE SELECTION 2012-2015 (76 minutes).
Prior to that, BIGBANG made the best personal record by placing on the first rank on Oricon’s weekly album chart with its album called ‘MADE SERIES’ released on February 3 in Japan. It is the group’s third time to get first place on the Oricon’s weekly album chart followed by its record of topping the chart with ‘BIGBANG 2’ released in May 2011 and the best album in 2014.
The group will start its Japan fan club event tour from April 22 to 24 at the Kobe World Memorial Hall. It will continue its tour at the Marine Messe in Fukuoka on April 27, Nippon Gaishi Hall on April 29, 30 and May 1, Makuhari Messe Event Hall from May 3 to 5, Makuhari Messe Exhibition Hall on May 14 and 15, Kobe World Memorial Hall from May 27 to 29. It will have its arena tour for 27 times in four different cities in Japan.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG will hold world tour finale encore concert at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul from March 4 to 6 to meet its local fans in Korea.
