[OSEN Focus] BIGBANG’s Record-Breaking 62 Days of “Tracks Line-Up on Charts”

BIGBANG’s record-breaking has no end to it. In the midst of sweeping across all music charts with album “D” of the MADE SERIES unveiled on July 1, all the songs from the previous “M” and “A” albums are still ranked within the top 10. They are showing a record-breaking journey of 62 days.

They are leading their project to success one at a time, and actually realizing their goal of making every track of their MADE album a title track. They are releasing new songs on the 1stof every month, which was a great challenge and a refreshing attempt. Each M, A, D, E project will be showcased until August, and in September the complete MADE will be unveiled. And they are going pretty smoothly with their plan.

“if you” and “SOBER” unveiled at 0 hour of July 1 have been sweeping across 8 music charts including Melon, Mnet, Olleh, Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music and Monkey 3 immediately after release. This is their 3rd “all-kill” following the tracks released in May and June.

Album “D” topped 16 iTunes around the world including Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Norway, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, and #4 in the U.S and #22 in England.

But what’s more, “LOSER,” “BAE BAE,” “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” unveiled in May and June are following the latest two. The previous songs are still loved by the general public and the new songs are ranked in the same range. This is a peculiar phenomenon. This is quite unprecedented in the music world that is so competitive. Their records are hardly likely to be broken. And this will last until September, until the project is complete.

The response to the music videos is also explosive. “SOBER” unveiled at 0 hour of July 1 attracted a whopping 1.14 million views in just 8 hours while “LOSER,” “BAE BAE,” “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” all together attracted a total of 100 million viewers. The record will be broken yet again with “SOBER.

“if you” that is sweeping across all charts is known to be the saddest song of BIGBANG, and it was spotlighted even before its release. The calm melody and detailed sound combined with the sorrowful lyrics are so unique to BIGBANG. T.O.P and GD provide something very refreshing with their singing voices. “SOBER” is suited for the season summer, completely different of “if you.” This is indeed entertaining for the fans.

Now they are in the middle of their World Tour, and will be in Thailand on July 11 and 12. They will then move on to the U.S., Canada and North America while performing 70 times across 15 cities joined by 1.4 million fans.
