GD&T.O.P meets fans from around the world on top star’s personal channel “V-AP” for the first time in five years. August’s new songs of BIGBANG’s long-term comeback project “MADE” will be released by G-DRAGON and T.O.P on the 5th of August. It will the first time to G-DRAGON and T.O.P to perform as a unit team in five years.
V-AP is a real-time live-broadcasting newly launched by NAVER’s entertainment service that has drawn keen attention from Internet users with their STAR CAST service. World star BIGBANG and other top musicians including Infinite, KARA, GOT7, Girl’s Day, CNBLUE, BTS, and Jun Hyo Seong join for the launch of the service, and it will be actually offered one by one from August 1.
BTS confirmed their live-broadcasting schedule on August 1, Girl’s Day, CNBLUE, and KARA on August 3, and GOT7 on August 7. Then, BIGBANG confirmed their broadcasting on August 4.
BIGBANG swept the music scene from May this year, releasing new songs on the 1 of every month. In August, fourth single “E” of the team’s comeback project will be released. Differently from other albums of the project which have been released on the 1, the fourth single is to be released on the 5th of August, rousing fans’ curiosity. Such a decision was made based on BIGBANG’s will to care more about their fans who have only a few opportunities to see BIGBANG on TV.
BIGBANG’s label YG Entertainment said, “BIGBANG will come back to Korea early next month, because of the on-going world tour. On the 4 of August, one day before their comeback in August, BIGBANG will directly communicate with fans around the world by having the exclusive live-broadcasting on V-AP, and then release new song on August 5. The members do the broadcasting only a day after their concert, as they insist that they should guarantee at least some time for fans to see them.”
On July 24, YG Entertainment also drew a big attention by releasing a teaser image on its official blog YG LIFE. The teaser image aroused fans’ curiosity, with the image of the back of G-DRAGON and T.O.P, as well as a phrase “Fantastic” and date August 5 written on it.
The combination of BIGBANG’s rapper G-DRAGON and T.O.P is sufficient to make not only fans’ but also all music fans’ heart beat. The unit team of the two released first full-length album in December 2010, with title track “HIGH HIGH”. So, fans are paying keen attention to what kind of new sensation the two will create with the new song to be released five years after the first album. It is expected that a powerful and “fantastic” performance just as the title itself tells will be presented.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG has been carrying out their world tour successfully and will meet local fans in Malaysia on the 25 this month.
