[NEWS] G-DRAGON IS RANKED IN 9TH PLACE IN AMERICAN BILLBOARD’S YEAR-END WORLD ARTIST CHART… “FIRST TIME FOR KOREAN”
BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON has put his name on Billboard’s year-end chart for the first time for a Korean singer.
G-DRAGON has been ranked in the 9th place in yearly world album artist’s chart in Billboard’s “2013 Year End Chart”, which was disclosed on the 13. This is the first-ever case for a Korean singer to be listed in Billboard’s year-end chart, and G-DRAGON is drawing all the more attention as he is placed in the highest ranking ever among Korean singers.
G-DRAGON’s second full solo album “COUP D’ETAT” that was released this year boasted a strong momentum in music and album charts in Korea, and topped music-streaming sites in Asian countries including Taiwan and Hong Kong, proving a high popularity.
G-DRAGON has received a series of rave reviews for his global capabilities and artistic sense from foreign media outlets including American men’s magazine COMPLEX and New York Times, coming under the spotlight as a singer who has a global influence beyond Asia.
Meanwhile, G-DRAGON has been performing for BIGBANG Japan six dome tour recently.
