The 2013 Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA) recorded a viewing rate slightly higher than last year.
According to TNmS on Nov 23, an institution that measures the viewing rate, the 2013 MAMA aired on Nov 22 recorded 4.872% (Mnet 1.497%, KM 0.352%, O’live 0.461%, XTM 0.735%, On Style 0.280%, tvN 0.787%, Story on 0.760%) out of all the households registered for cable channels. This is a 1.325% point increase from last year’s 3.547%.
Looking at the viewing rate of the 2013 MAMA from sessions 1 to 3, the 2nd part ranked the highest with 5.380%. Then came the third part with 5.045%, and lastly part 1 with 4.146%. And the best 1 minute with 6.917%, the highest rate, was when all members BIGBANG came up on stage for a performance.
In terms of demographics, the largest group of viewers of the 2013 MAMA was teenage girls with 6.853%, women in their 40’s with 4.768%, women in their 30’s with 3.416%, and then women in their 20’s with 2.899%. All groups are part of households with cable channeled installed.
The three Grand Prizes of the 2013 MAMA went to Cho Yong Pil (Song of the Year / Bounce), G-DRAGON (Artist of the Year) and Exo (Album of the Year).
