It was a day for BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON to witness firsthand his immense popularity in China – at the award ceremony.
At the Young Choice Awards 2013 held in Beijing Olympic Center in the evening of Nov 20, G-DRAGON made an appearance because he was selected as the awardee for the ‘Best Foreign Artist’.
The person captured handing G-RAGON the trophy was China’s popular MC Du Hai Tao, and he has been publically saying that he is a fan of G-DRAGON. His encounter with G-DRAGON was indeed a long awaited one, and his ‘acting’ when handing the artist the trophy made everyone burst out in laughter.
With the calling on G-DRAGON’s name, Du went up the stage with the cruiser-board-shaped trophy and went down on one knee before the artist. When Du was on one knee and stretching his trophy-holding hands toward G-DRAGON, the awardee put a smile on his face and received the trophy.
That was not the end of it. Du, unable to hide his joy and exhilaration for meeting G-DRAGON, took a photograph of himself and G-DRAGON on stage, while dancing along ‘Crayon Pop.’ A true fan.
The award ceremony was fired up with G-DRAGON’s performances. He excited the audience with ‘Niliria,’ and ‘Crooked’, and the local fans responded enthusiastically by singing along the Korean lyrics of the songs.
G-DRGAON is also scheduled to appear on the 2013 Mnet Asian Music Award in Hong Kong’s Asia World Expo Arena on Nov 22.
