It has been a week since voting opened for this year’s Style Icon Awards, and idol stars are leading the votes.
As of October 7, G-Dragon, who recently returned with his second solo album Coup d’Etat, is in first place with 3.3 percent of votes, while Shinhwa follows behind in second place with 2.8 percent of votes.
Meanwhile, f(x), Lee Seung Gi and SNSD are tied with 2.6 percent of votes. SHINee and Lee Jong Suk are tied with 2.5 percent of votes, while Park Shin Hye and EXO have each garnered 2.4 percent of votes. So Ji Sub currently rounds out the top 10 with 2.3 percent of votes.
Fifty of today’s most influential stars have been nominated this year, but only 10 will be named a Style Icon at the ceremony, which is set to take place on October 24.
More than 165,000 online votes, which count for 30 percent towards the selection of the 10 Style Icons, have been cast thus far, and voting will remain open until October 15.
