[NEWS] G-Dragon Kills Music Charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong


After succeeded in sales in Korea, G-Dragon is continuing the trend in music charts in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

G-Dragon’s second album, Coup d’Etat has ranked first in the Korea song and album charts of Taiwan and Hong Kong’s biggest music site, KKBOX after its release on October 4.

Crooked has kept its place at number one since it was pre-released on September 13.

Other songs that were released on October 4, like Coup d’Etat, R.O.D, Who U, and Black, can also be found listed in the Weekly Top 10.

Also on Hong Kong’s KKBOX Weekly Chart, Crooked was ranekjd number one with MichiGO, Coup d’Etat, Who U, and a total of six songs in the Top 10.


G-Dragon ranked high on not just the song charts but also the album weekly charts for KKBOX. Coup d’Etat was also spotted at number one on Taiwan’s representative music site, My Music Taiwan, while Crooked was number one for OMusic Taiwan.

It is also very popular on ringtone and caller ring sites, including Taiwan Mobile Telecom Company.

G-Dragon recently took over the Gaon and Hanteo Monthly Album Charts, a rare feat as a male soloist.

The second album was especially praised for its high music quality and received a lot of spotlight in Korea and abroad.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon will reunite with his Big Bang members for the Japanese 6 Dome Concert Tour beginning in November.
