[NEWS] G-Dragon Performing in “M-Countdown” with “WIN” Members Today!

First-Ever Performance of G-Dragon’s New Songs “Crooked” and “Coup d’Etat” on TV

G-Dragon expressed his deep affection for junior singers.

On the stage of M-Net’s “M-Countdown” which is aired today (Sep. 12), G-Dragon is having a performance of his new song “Crooked” with the members of “WHO IS NEXT : WIN (WIN)”, a boy band that is to be formed by YG Entertainment for the first time since Big Bang’s debut eight years ago.

The performance with “WIN” members was proposed by G-Dragon himself who wanted to help junior singers build practical experience on the stage, as SEVEN helped Big Bang before their debut by making Big Bang members perform for his stage as dancers.

“WIN” is a survival program to members for YG’s new boy band to be formed for the first time since Big Bang’s debut eight years ago. Total 11 members compete against one another in team A and team B and the winning team makes their debut immediately, but the loser team is disbanded. The show makes an unfiltered display of fierce competition in the world of professional entertainers, attracting many viewers on Mnet and tvN channel in the evening of every Friday.

G-Dragon’s sudden suggestion pleased “WIN” members, but made them nervous at the same time. “WIN” members were worried that they might mess up a performance of G-Dragon, a singer who they like and respect most. In addition, because the suggestion was made so suddenly that “WIN” members had only one day for practice. They staged their performance after practicing it overnight.

When shooting of the performance for “Crooked” ended at 2 o’clock in the morning, G-Dragon bought a late dinner for all 11 “WIN” members, even though he was very tired because he hasn’t been resting even for a day since his last concert. It showed how much affection G-Dragon has for junior singers.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon is staging performance of three songs “Coup d’Etat”, “Crooked”, and “Black” on the stage of “M-Countdown” today.

This is the first-ever performance of his new songs “Coup d’Etat” and “Crooked”, after he sang “Black”, “Niliria”, and “Go” in SBS “INKIGAYO” last week. The new songs in this second album recently released have been enjoying much popularity, sweeping all top 10 places in weekly music charts.

Most singers concentrate on the title track for PR of their new albums, but G-Dragon is having performance for every track in his new album. This is a demonstration of G-Dragon’s strong confidence in all the tracks in his new album.

Indeed, G-Dragon’s second full solo album has recently been highly praised not only by Korean media outlets but also by famous magazines and TV broadcasters in the USA and UK.

Following a mini album released last year, this year, G-Dragon’s second full album has been released four years after the first one. Now, fans can enjoy G-Dragon’s fantastic performances day after day!
