BIGBANG’s leader G-DRAGON swept across music charts in just one hour after the release of his 2nd regular album in 4 years.
On Septebmer 9, he revealed 5 songs from the 2nd regular album ‘Coup d’état’, and in just one short hour knocked down Melon music chart with ‘Who You?’, while sweeping across Mnet, Bugs, Olleh Music and Soribada with ‘Black.’
His phenomenal comeback is shown through a multiple #1 rank on major music websites like Mnet, Bugs, and Melon, proving his extreme popularity. The top range of the charts is lined up with his songs.
On Melon, ‘Black’ ranked #2 and ‘Coup d’état’ #3, while Niliria ranked #5 and ‘ROD’ at #7. On Mnet, ‘Who You?’ stands at #2, ‘Coup d’état’ #3, ‘ROD’ #4 and ‘Niliria’ #5. From #1 to #5, the charts were lined up with G-DRAGO’s songs, and the same trend was shown on Bugs music charts, too.
His aggressive knock down does not end here. On September 5, he will be releasing the rest of the songs from the track list (#6 – #12), including ‘Crooked’. On September 13, his regular album that holds 14 tracks, which include different versions of ‘Window’ and ‘Black’ will be released.
