BigBang’s DVD sales in Japan hit the highest number in Japan, ranking number one on Oricon weekly chart.
According to Oricon, Japan’s largest music ranking chart, BigBang’s DVD of their concert BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR 2012 IN JAPAN SPECIAL FINAL IN DOME-TOKYO DOME 2012.12.05 had sold 36,000 copies in Japan, hitting the highest number and ranking the top on the weekly chart.
This number is a record-breaker for BigBang’s DVD sales in Japan. In 2011 the popular band sold 35,000 DVDs. Ranking number one on the list, however, is not new for BigBang as this is the fourth time being the top in Japan’s DVD sales.
The DVD includes the scenes from BIGBANG ALIVE TOUR 2012 IN JAPAN SPECIAL FINAL IN DOME-TOKYO DOME from last December.
Among the contents are BigBang’s 30 live performance scenes and making-of-the-video sequence, which in total runs for 230 minutes. The Japanese media proved BigBang’s popularity as they were in a race of who publishes the news first.
BigBang’s leader G-Dragon, meanwhile, will be in Japan from April for his five performances at Japan’s three largest stadiums – Fukuoka Yahoo Japan Dome, Seibu Dome and Kyocera Dome.
