[NEWS] BIGBANG'S "TONIGHT" WIN TRIPLE CROWN ON M! COUNTDOWN

Big Bang celebrated their third win on cable music channel Mnet’s weekly live music show on Thursday with their song "TONIGHT."

“TONIGHT,” which is the title track to the group’s fourth mini-album released late last month, was crowned the winner on Mnet's televised “M! CountDown” for the third week in a row after beating ballad singer K.will’s “My Heart Beats” and songstress Song Jieun’s “Going Crazy."

“Thank you so much for the awards you have been handing us every single week since we made a comeback. We’ll take it as a sign to keep up with the improvement,” said G-Dragon, the leader of the five-member band in the acceptance speech.

He then went onto remind viewers of the ongoing plight in Japan after a great earthquake and tsunami swept the country last Friday. “There has been a great earthquake in Japan causing much humane and resource damage. We hope only good things to happen in Japan from now on,” he added.

Other singers that appeared at “M!CountDown” the same day included MBLAQ, Wheesung, Girls’ Day, ZE:A, INFINITE, Kim Hyun-jung, Na Yoon-kwon, LPG and most notably, actor Kim Soo-hyun who sang “Dreaming,” his theme song from teenage drama “Dream High” (KBS, 2011) where he starred as a singer.
