BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG” was selected as the most-watched K-pop music video in the world for the month of June.
Billboard announced the news on July 21 (local date) based on the viewer’s record of YouTube.
BIGBANG not only accomplished this with “BANG BANG BANG” but also ranked #3 and #9 with “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” and “SOBER” respectively, listing three of their music videos in the top 10.
“BANG BANG BANG” is one of the songs from Album “A” of the MADE SERIES, which was released on June 1. The summery fast beat and sounds attract many listeners, and it topped music charts home and abroad immediately after its release. The music video released with it boasted dynamic visual and powerful colors, making the quintet’s performance even more charismatic.
The song proved its borderless popularity by topping “Summer Song of the Year” of MTV IGGY, based on a survey done against international fans from July 13 to 20.
The music video attracted 36.45 million views as of the morning of July 22, continuing to attract viewers.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG will be in Malaysia Kuala Lumpur on July 24, 25 and the Philippines Manila on July 30, and in Indonesia Jakarta on August 1 for their World Tour.
