BIGBANG’s “2015 WORLD TOUR ‘MADE” in Hong Kong for the 3 days of weekend ended in a huge success. Despite the spread of MERS, BIGBANG’s popularity in the country was simply unrivaled.
According to YG Entertainment, BIGBANG proved their enormous popularity in Hong Kong when the whole stadium of Hong Kong Asia World Expo was sold out for the concert held at the venue from June 12 to 14. Despite the spread of the scare of MERS, the stadium was filled with the local fans.
Measures to prevent MERS from spreading were strictly carried out. Body temperature-measuring device was installed outside the stadium to measure the body temperatures of the staff and the fans, while facemasks were sold with BIGBANG merchandises.
Special guests who came to the concert also attracted much attention. Stars of Hong Kong came to the World Expo Arena to see BIGBANG.
Taiwan’s extremely popular Michelle Chen, Hong Kong’s top musician Gloria Tang, Macau’s casino tycoon Stanley Ho’s daughter Stephanie, and a member of a group called Twin’s Charlene Choi were at the concert hall on June 12 to see BIGBANG, holding the “BANG Stick” in their hands to cheer for the quintet. The celebrities updated photographs of the concert on their social media to show their fans.
BIGBANG who completed the concerts successfully in Guangzhou, Beijing, and Hong Kong will be moving on to other countries in Asia including Thailand, and other continents like the Americas, Canada and other regions. They will be performing 70 times across 15 cities joined by 1.4 million fans.
