[NEWS] BIGBANG’s World Tour “MADE” Live on China’s Tencent


BIGBANG’s World Tour “MADE” will be streamed live through China’s Tencent video, the largest online platform in the country.

On June 20 BIGBANG announced the news in Shanghai where the press conference for “Tencent Video Live Music & BIGBANG Collaboration.”

The conference was held in the presence of personnel from YG Entertainment and Tencent video including BIGBANG, where more than 50 Chinese media like Zhejiang Satellite, CCTV and Eastern Satellite TV also came to spotlight the collaboration between the two companies.

GD commented, “ We kicked off our World Tour without much promotion, and we are grateful for all the attention. It is our role to show you many different things through various media channels. We are honored to be given this opportunity and we hope this can be a stepping stone for us to develop even further.”

T.O.P added, “We will be travelling to more cities than our last World Tour. We will be visiting cities we have never visited before, and we also plan to reach more fans. We hope that the fans can communicate with us through our music and performances.”

BIGBANG’s newly unveiled tracks “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” occupied the top two slots on QQ Music Digital Music Sales and Music Video charts despite strong releases by local artists. The tickets to World Tour “MADE” were sold out in Beijing, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. BIGBANG held a concert from June 19 to 21 at the Shanghai Arena, and it is a first for foreign artists to occupy the Area for 3 times in a row.

Director Choi Sung Joon of YG Entertainment commented, “BIGBANG possesses a lot of strengths, but their talents are unleashed most dynamically on stage. We want to make an opportunity for those who have not seen the quintet yet on stage to see the dynamic performances with their own eyes.”

“LIVE MUSIC” showcased by Tencent is a new media music streaming platform that streams music and concerts live. Starting from A-Mei in August to many top local artists like Kenji Wu performed in the arena, attracting 18.8 million people. Altogether they hit 318 million views, re-writing the history of online concert.

Out of all the BIGBANG’s concerts “MADE,” one will be streamed live through Tencent Video.

BIGBANG is in Shanghai from June 19 to 21, and will move on to Dalian and Wuhan on June 26 and 28 to perform for the local fans.
