[NEWS] BIGBANG Headliner for 2 Straight Years for Japan’s Largest A-Nation Festival
BIGBANG will be the headliner for Japan’s largest music festival A-Nation for 2 years in a row.
At the “a-nation stadium fes” that is to be held on August 22 at Osaka’s Yanma Stadium Nagai, BIGBANG will be appearing as the headliner following the past record in 2012 and 2014 in Tokyo. This will be their third one. This year’s a-nation will host Japan’s famous artists like Hamasaki Ayumi, Koda Kumi and TRF.
Prior to appearing on a-nation, BIGBANG will be unveiling “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” on the 17th. From November, they will be holding the Japan Dome Tour for 3 years in a row, which is a first for foreign artists. From Nov 12 to 15, they will start in Tokyo Dome and then will move on to Kyocera Dome in Osaka on Nov 20 to 22, Fukuoka Yahoo Oku Dome from Nov 28 to 29, Nogoya Dome from Dec 5 to 6 and then again in Osaka Kyocera Dome from Jan 9 to 11 in 2016. They will be performing 14 times across 4 cities joined by 701,000 fans.
BIGBANG occupied the top two slots on American Billboard’s “World Digital Songs” chart on June 11 with “BANG BANG BANG” and WE LIKE 2 PARTY.” Last month with “LOSER” and “BAE BAE” from album “M,” they were the second South Korean artists to rank #1 and #2. This month they ranked in the top two again with “BANG BANG BANG” and “WE LIKE 2 PARTY” from album “A,” breaking their own record.
On June 11, Billboard attracted much attention by re-spotlighting their performance with the headline that read, “BIGBANG Own Top Two Slots on World Digital Songs…Again!”
BIGBANG is carrying out their singles promotion and World Tour simultaneously. They will be in Hong Kong’s AWE Area from June 12 to 14 and will be performing 3 times for the local fans.
