New Japanese albums of Korean Wave singers are sweeping top places in Oricon chart, showing the power of K-Pop.
According to Japan’s biggest music chart website Oricon in the afternoon on the 19 this month, “BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2013~2014-DELUXE EDITION”, the DVD of BIGBANG’s Japan six dome tour concert that drew as many as 770,000 fans, took the No.1 in Oricon’s DVD daily chart.
Notably, BIGBANG took the No.1 by pushing the 10th anniversary Tokyo Dome event DVD of idol group “NEWS” of Japan’s Johnnys which was released on the same day to the second place, proving that BIGBANG is still enjoying a high popularity in Japan.
The DVD of KARA’s second Japan arena tour concert “KARA 2nd JAPAN TOUR 2013 KARASIA” has also entered Oricon DVD daily chart at the 4th place.
In Oricon’s daily album chart, two Korean Wave groups are placed. B1A4’s second Japanese full-length album is in the third place and U-KISS’s third Japanese full-length album is in the 7th, making entry into top 10 immediately after their release.
