[NEWS] G-Dragon Topping 8 Countries’ iTunes Charts… Beginning TV Appearance at “Sketchbook”


G-Dragon, who is releasing his second full album four years after the first one, will give a comeback performance at “Yoo Hee-Yeol’s Sketchbook”, KBS 2TV’s music program. After successfully finishing his solo world-tour encore concert last weekend, he made an appearance at a shooting of SBS’s “Running Man”, an entertainment program, on last Monday. As people spotted G-Dragon at the shooting, his TV appearance became known to the media. Now, G-Dragon makes his official comeback at “Sketchbook”.

He did not rest for a sing day after the concert, to appear in “Running Man”. Then, right on the next day, he performs at “Sketchbook”, adding fresh fuel to the success of his full solo album released four years after the first one.

As soon as five songs in his second full album were opened on the September 2, in advance of the album’s release, they were ranked in the top to fifth places on all on-line music charts in Korea, once again proving G-Dragon’s iconic status in the K-Pop world, as a leading male solo artist.


G-Dragon’s new songs are receiving enthusiastic responses from overseas fans as well. “Part 1” of G-Dragons’ second full album is currently at the top of eight countries’ iTunes album charts and the title track “Who You?” and “BLACK” have also topped single charts, showing a strong momentum. Following the release of “Part 1”, “Part 2” with other seven new songs will be released on the 5th, which is expected to create another sensation in the K-Pop world.

At his solo world-tour encore concert, G-Dragon expressed a strong confidence in his second full album. There are four title tracks in the new album which has been attracting a great attention from all over the world, with featuring of an army of world-famous musicians including Missy Elliot, Diplo, Baauer, Boys Noize, and Sky Ferreira.

G-Dragon is now preparing for his comeback performance at SBS “Pop Songs” which will be aired on the 8th, as well as the performance at “Sketchbook”.
