[Exclusive] G-DRAGON on Music Bank for the first time in 4 years, will he top the chart 2 weeks in a row?
G-DRAGON, who is sweeping all charts on music programs with his 2nd solo album, is scheduled to make an appearance on KBS’s Music Bank on Sept 27.
This is his first appearance in 4 years since 2009. He will be celebrating his return to Music Bank by showcasing ‘Crooked’.
G-DRAGON actually appeared last week (Sept 20) and topped the chart with ‘Who You?’ on the same program, but due to Korean Autumn festival Chuseok, the show was not aired on television. Thus many will be seeing him for the first time on Music Bank this week, and they are excited to see whether he will be able to seize the trophy for two consecutive weeks.
G-DRAGON’s latest album is a record breaker, with whopping 4 songs (‘Who You?’, ‘Crooked’, ‘Coup d’etat’, and ‘Black) sweeping music charts. He is also topping all charts on music programs. This is unprecedented for a South Korean artist.
Thanks to his appearance on many channels, fans are able to enjoy watching him perform on various shows. 2NE1, fellow artists from the same agency YG Entertainment, actively promoted their song in March on Music Bank for the first time in 3 years. In line with this, G-DRAGON is also scheduled to perform on Music Bank, which is an extra source of entertainment for the fans.
G-DRAGON also ranked #1 on American music cable channel FUSE TV’s ‘BEST NEW ARTIST of 2013’. Foreign media, including America’s the New York Times and England’s DAZED, are busy spotlighting this extremely talented artist.
