[NEWS] BIGBANG HEATING UP MUSIC CHARTS IN TAIWAN


The albums and DVD of Korean boy band Big Bang has taken the music charts in Taiwan by storm, according to their agency YG Entertainment.

On Wednesday, YG announced in a press release that Big Bang's fourth mini-album, the special edition of the aforementioned album, concert DVD and a pictorial of footage of the concert have placed at the No. 1 spot on 13 different music charts in Taiwan including G-MUSIC, FIVE MUSIC, KuangNan Record and BOOKS.COM.

The special edition of their fourth mini-album came in first place under the K-pop category on KKBOX, while its title track "Love Song" scored the top spot on Taiwan's MTV music chart.

Discovered and trained by top major talenthouse YG Entertainment, Big Bang made their debut in 2006 and has since released a number of albums and hit songs such as "With U," "Lies" and "Haru Haru."

The boys released the fourth mini-album in Korea in February which topped a number of online music charts and scored them various wins on televised music programs. The group then released the special edition two months later which fared well as the previous album.

Big Bang is currently taking a break from their activities after completing their concert tour in Japan in May.
