[NEWS] G-DRAGON & TOP UNIT TO GIVE COMEBACK PERFORMANCE ON DEC 19

Boy band Big Bang members G-Dragon and T.O.P, set to pursue their singing activities as a duo unit starting this month, will give the first televised performance for their upcoming album on December 19.

The much-awaited news came on their agency YG Entertainment's official blog site YG Life (http://www.yg-life.com) on Monday where a photograph of the two boys was posted with the phrase "GD & TOP's first television appearance - SBS 'Inkigayo' (12.19)."

Just less than two weeks ago, YG's CEO and founder Yang Hyun-suk had announced that Big Bang would make a comeback to the local music scene for the first time in two years starting with G-Dragon and T.O.P as a unit this week, then Seungri as a solo artist on January 3 and Big Bang as its five-member band on February 1.

The last album Big Bang had released in Korea was "REMEMBER" in November 2008 after which they expanded their career into Japan in June of last year.

They have led a successful career in Japan so far, placing their debut single "My Heaven" at No. 3 on the prestigious Oricon daily singles chart and touring three cities in the country which attracted a total of 60,000 fans.

While further details on Seungri and Big Bang's releases have yet to be announced, YG has stated that G-Dragon and T.O.P's new album containing a total of 11 tracks will go on sale on Christmas Eve with songs "HIGH HIGH" and "OH YEAH (featuring Park Bom)" to be advance-released as digital singles on Wednesday.

A world premiere event will be held tomorrow, set to go on air live through their YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/ygbigbang), where G-Dragon and T.O.P will introduce all 11 songs from the album and reveal the music video for "HIGH HIGH."
