BIGBANG member G-DRAGON and 2NE1’s CL come together.
On the 15 this month, YG Entertainment announced, “The music video of world-class dubstep DJ Skillex’s ‘DIRTY VIBE’ in which G-DRAGON and CL appear, will be unveiled on the 16”.
Before the announcement, G-DRAGON and CL drew fans’ attention by posting a photo that suggests their participation in the project, on their SNS accounts.
“DIRTY VIBE” is a song for which G-DRAGON and CL featured for in March this year, and it is included in Skrillex’s album “RECESS”. The song impresses listeners with its bouncy beat, as well as powerful rapping of G-DRAGON and CL.
Album “RECESS” in which “DIRTY VIBE” is included was ranked in the 4th place in “Billboard 200” in March this year, which made G-DRAGON and CL stand under the spotlight of the American pop music market.
After their featuring for “DIRTY VIBE”, G-DRAGON and CL visited L.A. in the United States in August this year, to collaborate with Skillex once again by shooting the song’s music video with him.
G-DRAGON and CL have boasted their global potential by collaborating with famous foreign musicians so far. G-DRAGON collaborated with world-famous musicians such as Diplo, Baauer, Missy Elliott, and others, for his second full-length album “COUP D’ETAT”. 2NE1’s member CL has had music exchanges with American rapper will.i.am and she took part in featuring for his album “#willpower”, along with Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus.
Meanwhile, the music video of “DIRTY VIBE” will be opened on Red Bull’s website from 2am on the 16 (Korean time) for 48 hours, then, it will be released on YouTube, etc.
