Before this interview, you’ve been a guest for Telephone Shocking corner on ‘Waratte Iitomo’ (Fuji TV), aren’t you nervous?
【V.I】 We’ve been on the show ‘Waratte Iitomo!’ before, so we were not that nervous.
Unfortunately, you guys didn’t get the strap.。
【V.I】 Yeah. Since we are gyudon (beef bowl) maniac, so we expect the audiences also want to eat gyudon. A little bit disappointing.
Gyudon is everyone’s source of power?
【D-LITE】 I think if there’s no gyudon, I can’t do anything.
【SOL】 If there’s no gyudon, activities in Japan….
【D-LITE】 It will be meaningless. We come to Japan just to eat gyudon.）
【SOL】 Just joking! (laugh)
Let’s end the gyudon story here (laugh), this time BIGBANG is releasing an album after 1 year, please send message to the fans who had been waiting.
【G-DRAGON】 Over the last year, so many thing had happened. After that, finally we were able to complete the album, and there was also pressure. Each member, committed their own time while preparing this, so I had a deep feeling after it’s compleated. For the fans who had been waiting for us, from now on we will concentrate on our stage and we want to show all of you our cool appearance.
【D-LITE】 Like G-Dragon said, we went through so many things last year. But all member get through it, we’ve back as one and completed the album. YG family staffs also said that up until now the album is the best one. We made the album with confidence while having fun, so we hope that the fans will also enjoy it.
【SOL】 Realeasing the album after so many things that happened, it’s really means a lot for me personally and also for BIGBANG. I think it’s an album that become our turning point. From now on, our color will become more stronger. For fans in Japan, thank you for always waiting for us, we’re really appreciate it.
【V.I】 A new album after 1 year, in every meaning, I think that we had upgraded, as a human also we’ve grown up. For this album, I think that each member feels so much confident. So, I think that this is really the best present to all fans. In future, we hope to come to Japan more often to do promotions.
【T.O.P】 Same like others, I think the album『ALIVE』shows a new shape of BIGBANG as one. Also , so far we only recorded 1 or 2 Japanese songs per album but this time we challenged ourselves and recorded many songs. And also we tried hard to make the Japanese lyrics. I hope everyone will have so much fun listening to the album.
【SOL】 This time, m-flo’s VERBAL is incharge of FANTASTIC BABY’s Japanese lyrics. As for the rhythm and contents, I think it’s harmonize the Korean lyrics more than before.
“ALIVE” represents BIGBANG’s situation.
The title ‘ALIVE’ contains so many thoughts, but for this time what’s the theme or concept that BIGBANG wants to convey?
【D-LITE】 The meaning of ‘ALIVE’ is ‘to live’ ,and up until now the frozen things slowly melted down. With that I hope we’re be able to convey our passion to the musics and to the stage.
【SOL】 The first song, INTRO is a short track but it’s represent BIGBANG’s situation. In the lyrics, there’s a part shows that someone is falling down, but it’s simply not like that. It shows a sense of freedom and express the meaning of ‘still alive＝ALIVE’.

For SBS Inkigayo on the 1st, Big Bang performed "Bad Boy" and "Fantastic Baby."
Big Bang first did "Fantastic Baby," where the Big Bang members were placed in the audience in a cage. TOP's feathered hat was especially eye grabbing.
Then they performed "Fantastic Baby," where the members wore red, green, white, blue, and black. TOP's mint hair and pink eyebrows drew attention as well.
The performance got a lot of attention for its fun and energetic beat along with the unique stage clothes.
"Fantastic Baby" is the fastest and strongest song from Big Bangs 5th mini album and it had the greatest reaction from the audience at Big Bang's world tour.

[VOTE] G-DRAGON - THE GREAT BOYBAND HAIR OFF (FINAL)
Over the next week, we’re going to be squaring 32 of the all-time greatest boy band hair cuts—individual members of boy bands that is, with some groups having multiple eligible members (and one or two members having multiple eligible haircuts)—off against one another, with the goal of crowning the greatest boy band haircut of all time. From Davy Jones of The Monkees’ Proto-Bieber ‘do to Justin Timberlake’s stringy Ramen-noodle look from his ‘N Sync days to Harry Styles of One Direction’s soon-to-be-iconic swoop, haircuts from all eras of boy bands are in play.
Our first rounds saw a great number of lower-seeded upsets, launching today’s biggest stars over classic and cult coiffure role models alike—so much for our strange fascination with Chris Kirkpatrick’s skunk nest. A total of two number one seeds fell to the bracket game floor in the first round, just like the strands of their once-fabled hairstyles did many years ago, while One Direction’s Harry Styles prevailed over U.K. mate Nathan Sykes of The Wanted in round two, ending the ongoing debate over who is more awesome—for now. Most recently, K-pop fans and Disney lovers made their feelings known in the Final Four, while R&B fans were forced to show their true allegiances.
Next up: The final! Princeton of Mindless Behavior vs. G-Dragon of Big Bang. Examine the matchup below, and then vote in the poll underneath to decide who you want to win the Popdust Boy Band Hair-Off Crown. We promise it won’t mess up their ‘do.

[NEWS+CLIP] BIGBANG - FANTASTIC BABY ON NTV HAPPY MUSIC AND BLUE ON MTV CZECH WISHLIST CHART
Big Bang released the Japanese version of their hit album, “Alive” earlier this week. The group has received much love for their latest album since its release. “Alive” debuted at second place on the Oricon Daily Chart beating out other steep competition. The album also managed to top the Japanese iTunes album charts for the past few days.
Continuing with their busy schedule the kings of K-Pop had the chance to perform one of their latest hit singles on NTV’s “Happy Music Japan.” The group gave a characteristically flawless performance of the Japanese version of “Fantastic Baby.”
Big Bang will hold the Japanese leg of their 2012 “Alive Tour” throughout mid- May and early June. The tour will kick-off on May 17 and will travel to five cities across Japan.
The group continues to make their mark around the globe as the MV for their single "Blue" appears on MTV Czech. "Wishlist" is a program on MTV Czech that features music videos as voted by viewers. Thanks to the support of Czech fans Big Bang's "Blue" made it to the number two spot on the show's chart. Since the music video recieved such an outcry of support from fans the video was shown during this weeks episode. Congratulations to Big Bang and Czech VIPs.
