BIGBANG is the next guest to be interviewed on CNN’s “Talk Asia.” The group will be talking about their 10-year anniversary, as well as how they became a K-pop group that represents Korea.
CNN’s “Talk Asia” is a program that invites people who are representatives of different fields such as politics, economics, culture, entertainment, and sports. Previous guests on the show were Epik High, Kim Yuna, and Park Ji Sung.

[NEWS] BIGBANG Voted as the Best K-Pop Idol In The Past 20 Years
Korean media outlet Donga Ilbo, partnered with web magazine Idology and the research company M Brain, recently conducted a survey among 2000 ordinary citizens and 30 pop music experts about the best K-pop idol groups and songs in the past 20 years.
The 2000 citizens were made up of 200 men and 200 women from each age group from the 10s to the 50s.
The top three male idols were BIGBANG at 44.0 percent, H.O.T at 28.8 percent, and g.o.d at 18.9 percent. The other groups on the list were, in order: TVXQ, Shinhwa, Super Junior, EXO, Sechs Kies, BEAST, BTS, SHINee, 2PM, CNBLUE, INFINITE, and FTISLAND.

[MISC] Pre-debut photos and anecdotes of BIGBANG
Kpop Herald has put together some past and present photos, as well as some interesting facts, about each member of BIGBANG, a Korean boy band group that debuted in 2006. The photos on the left are their pre-debut images, and the photos on the right are post-debut images.

G-Dragon said in a 2010 interview with Asia E, a local newspaper, that he was initially hesitant about debuting as a member of BIGBANG.
“I had entered YG Entertainment and received training for six years, thinking that I would either be a solo artist or would be assigned as a duo with Taeyang. At the time, I had preconceptions about ‘idol groups.’ I don‘t anymore, but at the time, I did. And I dreaded wearing the same clothes and dancing the same dances as other members. I seriously considered moving to another agency at the time,” said G-Dragon.

[V LIVE+] BIGBANG to Do Live Individual Shows for Five Weeks Starting from Aug. 31
BIGBANG, who is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut this year, will do live shows for their fans.
According to the producers of Naver’s V LIVE+, the five members of BIGBANG will be doing individual live shows each on different themes. DAESUNG is the first one to go, and he will be doing his show on August 31. Then, G-DRAGON will do his on September 7, TAEYANG on September 14, T.O.P on September 19, and SEUNGRI on September 28. The title of the shows is “BIGBANG 10 THE LIVE: ON-AIR 31”.

On August 27, the making of Infinite Challenge’s much-anticipated Muhan Company special was released. The Muhan Company special is a mega special project the goal of which is to make a short movie with the cast of Infinite Challenge. The script of the short movie is written by Kim Eun-hee, the screenwriter of “Signal”. Jang Hang-jun is the director and the cast of Infinite Challenge each have parts.
