[NEWS] GD&TOP TO PUT ON SPECIAL PERFORMANCE FOR FANS ON MNET M COUNTDOWN
Big Bang’s unit group GD&TOP have prepared a special surprise for their fans in the spirit of the New Year.
“Last week we won 1st on Mnet’s “M Countdown“, but we were sad that we weren’t there to take the trophy. To express our remorse and simultaneously, our gratitude, we’ve prepared a surprise performance for our fans. Please look forward to it,” revealed G-Dragon.

[NEWS] GD&TOP CHOOSE THE BIGBANG MEMBERS WITH THE MOST AND LEAST INTEREST IN WOMEN
During a recent interview, Big Bang’s G-Dragon and T.O.P were asked to pick members who had the most and least interest in women lately.
For the member who showed the most interest in the ladies lately, G-Dragon answered with a laugh, “All of them have interest in women, but Taeyang especially has been showing a lot of interest after singing ‘I Need A Girl.‘”

Some may question who or what Diplo is in GD&TOP’s new PV「뻑이가요 (Knock Out)」.Well,the man behind this number’s arrangement and music has come out today and dropped a line that he wanted to work in ROK after the PV nearly hits a million views!
[NEWS] GD&TOP'S “DON’T GO HOME” BANNED BY MBC, BUT REQUESTING FOR RETRIAL WITHOUT MODIFICATION
“Knock Out”, the title song of Big Bang’s G-Dragon and TOP duo unit’s first album, has been banned from KBS, MBC, and SBS, the three major terrestrial broadcasting stations.
Moreover another title song “Don’t Go Home” has also been banned from MBC.
This morning, Big Bang’s company YG Entertainment (YGE), said to Moneytoday Starnews, “about getting “Knock Out” banned, we were a bit expecting that to happen, so we are not planning to request the retrial, but we are a little surprised at MBC’s decision about “Don’t Go Home”.”

On January 5th, TV Report released the data results they’ve compiled from various advertisement and model contracting companies in order to find the most expensive celebrity figures of 2011.

SBS Contents Hub recently launched a ‘2011 Big Bang Voice Calendar’ application that directly uses Big Bang voices. The application comes with a built in calendar and scheduler, and the Big Bang members will directly voice out messages of the schedules you create. Voice messages also include alarm services for new semesters, holidays, festive seasons, Christmas Day, and White Day, as well as morning calls.
[NEWS] GD&TOP’S "KNOCK OUT" BANNED ON KBS, MBC, & SBS
GD&TOP’s third title track, “Knock Out“, has been banned from all three public broadcasting networks.
KBS, MBC, and SBS stated that the reason for the ban was because the title and lyrics used slang, which they believed would damage the national psyche. The song itself has been popular on music charts, and news of the song’s ban quickly became a controversy amongst fans and netizens alike. The majority are of the belief that the ban is “ridiculous and out of line.”
One netizen commented, “TV dramas are allowed to show adultery, violence, swears, and even sexual abuse. I cannot understand why they would say that the expressions used in ‘Knock Out’ is a problem.”

In the absence of a new ‘Inkigayo‘ episode on January 2nd, SBS opted to broadcast the ‘SEOUL TOKYO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010‘ instead.
A total of 10 K-Pop teams including the likes of BIGBANG, KARA, 4minute, 2NE1, F.T. Island, CNBLUE, Brown Eyed Girls, U-KISS, Rainbow, and Teen Top convened at Tokyo’s Saitama Super Arena back in November 3rd for the ‘SEOUL TOKYO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2010′.

YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, recently sat down for an interview with Osen and shared his opinion on why some idol groups disband.
The CEO was asked about why groups like BIGBANG and 2NE1 present sub-units; this led to a lengthy response regarding why he feels sub-unit activities should be encouraged. 2NE1 and BIGBANG have both led a solo/sub-unit boom last year with their individual activities, such as CL & Minzy and GD&TOP.
