[NEWS] G-DRAGON’s “CROOKED” Hits 40m Views, BIGBANG’s Comeback Imminent

G-DRAGON’s music video of “CROOKED” hit 40 million views on YouTube during the Lunar New Year holiday, proving its undying popularity.

BIGBANG as a whole always outshines the performances of each member as a solo, like their “FANTASTIC BABY” hitting 130 million views a long time ago already. However, hitting a whopping 40 million by G-DRAGON alone is simply unprecedented, especially when he does it with such ease.

Before G-DRAGON hit the number with “CROOKED,” he surpassed the same number with “GOOD BOY” performed with TAEYANG, and “HEART BREAKER” from long ago also reached 42 million. It is safe to say that G-DRAGON now easily attracts at least 40 million viewers.

The viewing rate of TAEYANG’s “EYES, NOSE, LIPS” is also climbing, now surpassing 36 million. The track is popular especially in the North American market.

G-DRAGON’s “CROOKED” was chosen as “MTV Iggy’s Song of the Year” in 2013. Included in his 2nd solo album “COUP D’ETAT” as one of the double title songs, “CROOKED” boasted its global popularity by going against Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky,” Drake’s “Started from the Bottom,” Lorde’s “Royals” and PSY’s “GENTLEMAN” in the competition.

BIGBANG’s comeback, as promised to be in the first half of the year, is approaching. The five members are told to be fully gearing up for their upcoming album.
