[NEWS] YG Family Concert Gathers Over 35,000 Fans in Beijing


YG Entertainment successfully wrapped up a family concert in Beijing, China.

YG announced on October 20, “YG launched YG Family 2014 Galaxy Tour: Power in Beijing in Worker’s Stadium in Beijing, China on October 19,” adding, “This concert gathered over 35,000 audience members, proving its popularity.”

The concert began with 2NE1’s performance. Shouting out ‘Beijing are you ready?’ 2NE1 appeared on stage by singing Crush. The group then continued to heat up the stage by performing hit songs Fire, Come Back Home and more.

Taking the baton from 2NE1, Epik High sang Fly and Love Love Love. The audience especially showed an explosive response when Epik High performed Get Out the Way.

Then Winner appeared on stage to sing Empty and Smile Again followed by BIGBANG, who performed Haru Haru, Bad Boy, Fantastic Baby and more.

T.O.P said, “Seungri couldn’t be with us today due to the car accident so we’re four today but we will return as five next time,” bringing out applause form the crowd.

Psy’s stage was a bit more special. He appeared on stage with the theme song of the movie A Better Tomorrow and introduced himself with Chinese subtitles. He then sang Right Now, Gentleman and Gangnam Style.

During the encore stage, the entire YG family got up on the stage to sing 2NE1’s Go Away, BIGBANG’s Fantastic Baby and Psy’s Gangnam Style, wrapping up the 4-hour concert.

YG rep explained, “Due to the crowd of people who gathered before the concert began, there was a traffic jam on the road around the concert hall. Despite the heavy smog, the audience enjoyed the concert for four hours, showing their interest.”

YG family’s overseas concert, carried out along with Samsung Electronics Co., will continue in Taiwan on October 25.
